Their Darkest Hour

image139

Power Packed! By Amazon Customer on August 9, 2015 Format: Kindle Edition

"Their Darkest Hour tells the story of Desiree and Malik as they go through a difficult trial, Malik's brain surgery and subsequent recovery. While Desiree attempts to care for Malik, he becomes bitter and angry. Will this trial strengthen their marriage or destroy it? You'll have to read it to find out. Though this is a somewhat short read, the author packs so many twists and turns in it that I was on the edge of my seat."

Excellent! By D. Scatliffe on September 11, 2013 Format: Paperback

"This is a good book. I read with anticipation for each moment, good job. Life has it's way with changing and another phase of life or something different is always inevitable; how it's handled is key. I am looking forward to the next book."

Their Darket Hour! By Lasana Williams Jackson on April 2, 2013 Format: Paperback

"Great book, it is something people (majority women) deal with everyday and can't find the strength or courage to go on. Eye opener. I am waiting on the next edition."

Almost Doesn't Count

By Zahra Alburkat on January 17, 2015 Format: Paperback

"D.C. Matthews did a good job having the reading imagine and picture what's going on in the story.  I felt I was there living with the characters as if I knew them. I felt their misfortunes and happiness at the same time, as if they were real, and that is what I like most about Dr. Matthews style of writing.  Another thing I enjoyed about this book was the references to God, the prayers and keeping God first. You learn so many things reading this book. You not only learn about motivation, but also about hope, love, and family.

I definitely recommend you read this book if you have not already.

Thank you Dr. Matthews!"

Applauding! By M Wash on September 10, 2015 Format: Paperback

"I certainly enjoyed reading the novel, Almost Doesn't Count.
Seeing our kids succeed in life is a rewarding experience and something that most caring individuals should undertake if possible. The story explained a family with a very strong willed matriarch that served her life rich in values and did not mind sharing. A very good read!"

Thought-Provoking! By Anonymous Reader Format: Paperback

"Here is a thought-provoking story about growing up in the city of Detroit. It gives credence to the untold numbers of caregivers who parent the child of another, often without appreciation or honor."
